Trikone-SF rallies at the Indian Consulate protesting Health Minister(India) Azad’s homophobic comments

Around 20 members of Trikone San Fransciso rallied in front of the Indian Consulate in San Francisco, protesting Indian Health Minister Ghulam N Azad’s recent homophobic comments made during a HIV/AIDS conference in New Delhi, India. Community members expressed concern, shock and disappointment at the prevalence of homophobia in the echelons of the Indian Government and demanded an unambiguous apology or a resignation from the health minister.
