San Francisco Department of Public Health slashes HIV funding to API community

As budget cuts take a toll on providing services to communities at risk, the latest set of budget cuts from the San Francisco Department of Public Health has the API community in despair. The Department of Public Health has cut all of the funding to API HIV testing centers in San Francisco. API community makes up 1/3 rd of the city’s population and recent surveys have consistently shown that new infection rates are alarmingly high in the API community.  A link to the story is posted below:
